As an Interior Designer II, you will drive the creation of innovative and captivating spaces, ensuring they are completed within budget and on schedule. Success in this role depends on your ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including architects, engineers, graphic designers, and construction professionals. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative environments, has experience in contract and/or retail design, and is adept at working with colleagues both locally and across our regional offices throughout North America.

GENERAL SKILLS

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Knowledge of interior finishes, furniture, building codes, and construction processes

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete projects on schedule and within established budget

• Attend project site visits and final punch along with producing the appropriate documentation

• Review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings along with producing the appropriate documentation

• Produce and Review/Redline construction documents, specifications, Addendums and/or ASIs

• Generate and present designs, construction documents, and furniture packages to the client via Teams or Zoom

• Respond to Clients and Project Executives in a timely manner

• Generate interior design concepts and design finalization

• Collaborate with sales, architects, engineering, graphic designers, multi-sensory, consultants, and build team on projects, providing guidance across all disciplines for coordination

• Provide documentation to estimating to establish project budget

• Lead multiple projects approximately 3,600 sq ft or less simultaneously.

• Assist Senior Interior Designers on projects approximately 3,600+ sq ft, while receiving mentorship to develop the skills necessary to advance to a Senior Interior Designer role.

• Perform all other related work, as assigned or as apparent*

EXPECTATIONS

• Travel required as needed for client meetings and to conduct the punch list.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES

• Bachelor’s degree within Interior Design or Interior Architecture

• 5+ years of commercial interior design experience required

• NCIDQ, LEED, or WELL accreditation is preferred

• Proficient with Revit and InDesign is preferred

• Possession of a valid G driver’s license is required for rental cars
